The DIA is delighted to be hosting a networking lunch for QLD designers. GOMA Restaurant is a multi award-winning dining experience, with an elegant, contemporary menu often inspired by the art showcased in the museum. As an exclusive treat after lunch, Samantha Littley and Adam Ford will give a Curators tour of the new QAGOMA exhibition: Prism: Light, Colour, Form. This exhibition considers the universal appeal of glass and its myriad applications, with the title referring both to the medium’s refractive qualities and to the various ‘lenses’ through which this display considers its materiality.

Green Pathways, Gold Places
The Green Pathways, Gold Places is a collaborative project between the Queensland Chapters of the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA), the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA), the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) to promote good design and planning for the Brisbane 2032 Olympics and Paralympic Games and legacy.

Queensland Town Hall Meeting: Join the Fight for Licensing of the Interior Design Profession
Join our first ever face-to-face Town Hall Meeting in our fight for the licensing of the interior design profession. Following a successful ‘Join the Fight’ NSW online forum and evidence-gathering exercise on 12th September, DIA has submitted a proposal to argue the case for licensing of interior designers under the NSW Building Authority. This meeting will help us build consensus on the issues facing our profession and the next steps for action in the Queensland advocacy campaign.

‘Beautiful Wickedness’ is the most significant exhibition of work by celebrated Australian artist eX de Medici yet staged. The survey examines the artist’s central concerns, including the fragility of life, global affairs, greed and commerce, and the universal themes of power, conflict, and death.
