Discover design like you’ve never seen before at Design Fringe. On show are Melbourne’s most extraordinary independent and emerging designers. In 2022, Design Fringe builds on the tremendous 36-year legacy of Fringe Furniture, reimagining this exhibition of the avant-garde to spotlight all kinds of object design including furniture, fashion, sculpture – sometimes all at once.

With its new name and new home across two stunning locations at Linden New Art and Carlisle Street Arts Space, the inaugural Design Fringe exhibition will be complemented by an expanded program of public events including workshops, forums and keynote presentations.

An invitation to artists to ‘Design the Future: Don’t Waste Time’, you can expect to see how our very best and brightest are dreaming Melbourne forward – telling a story of our tomorrow with objects made today.

Exhibition opening times:
Linden New Art is open 11am – 4pm, Tuesday to Sunday
Carlisle Street Art Space is open 8:30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
