Join us for a panel discussion focused on design as an evolving profession, and how design is transforming through collaborative practice and technological advancement.

Explore the future of design in a concise one-hour panel discussion presented by Design Institute Australia:

  • All the ways design is transforming through collaborative practice and technological advancement

  • The challenge of defining design and why this is important

  • Gain insights into the role of designers in the future.

Panelists will include

  • Laura Kostanski, CSIRO (Laura has been fundamental to the work on the ANZSCO occupation profiles)

  • Karen Webster, Creative Victoria, sharing insights into evolution in the fashion and gaming industries and how these two are crossing over in interesting ways

  • Kathryn Alexander, JAM Architects

Presented as a collaboration between Geelong Design Week and the DIA Victoria/Tasmania Branch Council.

As part of the DIA’s Accredited Designer program, we offer Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through our learning resources. CPD is most effective if undertaken continuously to ensure a currency of skills and knowledge. Attendance at this event is worth 1CPD point.
