Speakers:
Fiona Martin is a practice management and HR consultant. After 20yrs working for large national and international multi-discipline architectural practices Fiona understands the business challenges design practices face. She provides practical and simple solutions to build strategic planning, people & culture and best practice for small to medium sized architecture and interior design studios. Fiona is Chair of the NSW Architecture HR Group, recent past Implementation Leader of the Architecture Champions of Change to drive gender equality and is the first Affiliate member of the Association of Consulting Architects.
Linda Mason is an Associate Director and trained Interior Designer. After 15 years of working as an Interior Designer and Design Manager, she transitioned into Practice Management at Bates Smart 7 years ago, managing a team of 35 Interior Designers within a broader team of 300 Nationally. Currently, she is pursuing an MBA and is endlessly fascinated by people and culture. Linda handles all Interior Design recruitment at Bates Smart, which includes regularly reviewing multiple portfolios and conducting interviews with potential team members.
