Expressions of Interest are now open for the Powerhouse Creative Industries Residency Program 2022

Located at Powerhouse Ultimo, the Creative Industries Residency Program provides subsidised work space for NSW-based creative industry practitioners and organisations with practices that reflect the Powerhouse Collection.

Current residents include the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA), illustrator Dinalie Dabarera, independent broadcaster FBi Radio, designer and artist Anna Tregloan, fashion house Romance Was Born and architectural and industrial design practice Studio KaaKi.

Residents are provided with subsidised working spaces between 15 sqm to 25 sqm, along with communal facilities. Spaces are available for terms of three months or more up to November 2023, and residents will engage Powerhouse audiences through the delivery of Powerhouse public programs.

Residents will also have access to:

  • Powerhouse Ultimo

  • Sydney Observatory upon reopening

  • Powerhouse Castle Hill by appointment

  • Powerhouse staff regarding the Collection

  • Powerhouse Research Library and Archive

  • Opening night and VIP functions. 

NSW-based individuals or organisations are invited to apply now. Key dates include:

  • Expressions of Interest open: Friday 19 August 2022

  • Applications close: 5pm, 2 September 2022

  • Applicants notified: 22 September 2022

  • Spaces available from: October 2022
