Graduates of the Year Awards 2024 Nominations Open
DIA Graduates of the Year Awards (GOTYAs) is now open for educators to nominate their top graduates from 2023. The GOTYAs are Australia’s premier awards program for recognising and celebrating the achievements of design graduates as they embark on their careers.
Remember, its not just about their work but also their readiness for the workplace. The closing date for educators to submit nominations is 12 June 2024 and closing date for graduates to complete their entries is 1 July 2024. Pricing is $150 plus GST per graduate entry (as in 2023).
Tertiary institutions are invited to nominate graduates in either of two qualification levels:
Higher Education - AQF 7 and AQF 8
Vocational - AQF 5 and AQF 6
And in any one of three categories:
Use - Industrial, Fashion and Jewellery Design
Interact - Graphic, Multimedia, UX/UI Design
Place - Interior, Set/Exhibition Design
These categories have been aligned with the ABS ANZSCO designer profile subcategories 2323 (Use), 2324 (Interact) and 2325 (Place) and the 9 occupations,17 specialisations and 8 alternative titles that line up under the subcategories.
The process for GOTYA entry has changed slightly in 2024. The steps are:
Review the information pack HERE
Educators purchase entries HERE
Educators complete nomination form for each nominated graduate (this form will be provided after entries have been purchased)
Graduates invited by DIA to complete entry submission
