Fremantle Design Week

Fremantle Design Week is WA’s first multi-disciplinary design festival, bringing seven days of exhibitions, conversations, tours, workshops, films, open studios and special events to Walyalup.

The theme for the first Fremantle Design Week is 'enough'. How can we design a future where everyone has enough, and what does enough look like?

Fremantle Design Week's event hub will be the PS Art Space. Key FDW event highlights include the ‘HyperSext City’ exhibition by Monash University's XYX Lab; the ‘Designing Cities’ Symposium; conversations on fashion by Lisa Piller, designing with sound with Ned Beckley & Josh Hogan, and cities for families with See Design Studio; walks like the ‘Fremantle Ports Victoria Quay Design and Architecture Walk', the FDW Film Festival featuring 'Namarali', and films on Bruce Mau, Alvar Aalto and more.

Fremantle Design Week is presented by DesignFreo. DesignFreo is a platform celebrating design and designers in the port city of Fremantle / Walyalup and beyond.

The DIA is a Fremantle Design Week supporting and CPD partner.

Events will earn 2 DIA CPD points.

14 to 21 October at PS Art Space, Fremantle and other locations.
