The Voice of Professional Design

DIAS Student Membership

Why should you join the DIA?

Student members of the DIA have free access to all NSW DIAS events along with discounted entry to DIA national and state events. The membership includes a copy of the DIA Practice Notes, an invaluable resource which covers many relevant topics for a student of any disciple. These include; setting up a design practice, codes of professional conduct, confidentiality, brief writing, and how to gain design employment, just to name a few. Also included is a subscription to Artichoke and Spark Magazine which will cover the costs of the membership. Student members are eligible to take part in the annual “Bridging the Gap” mentoring program.

How to Join?

Download a membership form and information or obtain a kit from the National Office. Students may use the simpler 'Student Form'. Send your completed form with any requested supporting documentation and fees to the National Office.

Important: Your application can not be processed unless it is accompanied by full payment. If your application is unsuccessful your money will be refunded in full.

The Professional Stream (which includes Student, Graduate, Associate and Member) has educational and experience prerequisites as the basis for acceptance. Student and Graduate are intended as the stepping-stones to full Member status in the professional body.

For further information about DIA membership and the other categories, look to the DIA Membership Page.
